PURPOSE

POLICY

Trainings Budget and Headcount

  1. Event Hub ensures that all its employees and contractors (if applicable) have all the required skills that are needed to excel in both personal and professional careers.

  2. In line with these requirements, HR Department (Organization Development and Trainings Team) aligns with all Line Managers/Supervisors to provide a list of training that is required for their team members.

  3. All training should be aligned with roles and responsibilities as well as with the grade/seniority. For example, Team Leads should be provided with training for Leadership.

  4. Line Manager/Supervisors provides a list of most needed training for a complete year.

Training Schedule

  1. Based on the training needs, HR communicates with the respective training service provider to see the availability of training and prepares a plan with possible head-count for the upcoming year. This schedule is agreed with Line Managers.

  2. HR should ensure that enough capacity is allocated so all relevant employees can be facilitated in the training.

  3. HR should ensure that the given training is aligned with the Job Description.

Training Material

  1. HR communicates with training providers to agree on the Training Material or Content.

  2. For Internal Trainings, the local Subject Matter Expert is the one who develops the training material which should be approved by the Supervisor.

  3. All training material should be provided in the English Language.

Training Partners

  1. HR should actively look for different training providers in both technical and non-technical niches.

  2. HR should also be looking for early-bird discounts or bulk discounts to ensure the best prices.

  3. All training partners are supposed to provide the participants with proper certificates (where applicable).

  4. These certificates should be provided in both Digital (PDF, Online Credentials form) as well as printed form.

  5. All employees should ensure full attendance to get the Certificate of Attendance.

Training Mode

  1. Due to the availability of resources, the supported training could include on-site, remote/online training.

  2. Currently, we don’t support aboard training where a resource has to travel to some other country or city for training.

Retention Policy

  1. Some training is rigorous and requires huge investment from Event Hub. In those scenarios, a retention agreement is signed by the employee that he should not be leaving that organization for a particular duration.

  2. If they leave prior to that duration, the employee will have to provide 50% charges for that training.

Certifications / Official Credentials

  1. Event Hub has the right to use the training credentials/certifications of its employees on its website and other formal documentation to promote that Event Hub has certified individuals.

Reimbursements

  1. In some scenarios, it is possible that training needed by employees is not in the schedule or plan but it is needed for that particular role.

  2. In such cases, the employee is asked to take that training at his own expense. Once training is completed the employee can provide with the payment receipt his training/exam fee (up to $1000 AUD) is reimbursed.

On Job Training/ In-house Training

  1. Some training is conducted in-house. These may include knowledge transfer from one resource to another or from the supervisor to his subordinates.

  2. These training don’t require any budget and are not provided with certificates.

Expired Certifications

  1. Some certifications are expired after a particular duration. These certifications can be reimbursed if the employee reappears in the exam and passes it on the first attempt.
